Dawn Richardson
Certified in Reflexology and Indian Head Massage

Originally from the UK, Dawn moved to Moncton NB with her family in June 2010, pursuing a career in Finance. She was drawn to complementary therapies when her kids were born over 20 years ago.

Her youngest son had multiple complex health conditions, suffering from allergies, eczema, and asthma. Feeling helpless after months of sleepless nights and doctors’ visits, the focus was always on treating the physical symptoms.  While they found some relief for their son, she was looking for a more holistic approach to his health. A friend of hers recommended Reflexology and Homeopathy. She was so impressed by how beneficial these treatments were for her son and her family that she decided to become a Reflexologist, qualifying in the UK in 2004.  Later, in 2007, qualifying in Indian Head Massage. A modality that combines massage with energy strokes.

During the Covid-19 pandemic and still working in the finance sector, Dawn suffered from burnout, mental, physical, everything.  At this point she realized that she had to make some serious changes and prioritize her health.  She felt drawn back to her holistic therapies, wanting to help herself and others.  Recognizing the huge impact the pandemic had on people and their health and the widening gap in prompt access to healthcare.  In 2023, Dawn gained her Canadian qualifications in Foot and Hand Reflexology, in addition to Indian Head Massage.

Reflexology and Indian Head Massage are modalities that focus on the whole person, body, mind, and spirit, recognizing how interdependent they are for our overall health.  These treatments are non-invasive (no needles), natural and complementary. They focus on getting your body into a state of deep relaxation, where it can “rest and repair,” accessing its own natural healing state and finding balance.  Reflexology works by stimulating the nerve endings and sensory receptors in your feet and hands. As part of your nervous system, they send messages throughout your body encouraging it to self-regulate. Reflexology is effective in relieving tension, it improves circulation of blood, hormones, and lymph in addition to many more therapeutic benefits. One of my primary areas of focus is mental health, helping to reduce the symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression for my clients.
